I started playing pub poker just after I got married (wife #2!). I’m predominantly a NLHE tournament player, although I do stray into Omaha occasionally. And cash at low limits also.
I played at BCPC for about 5 years, and I was treasurer there for 2 years. I stopped playing pub poker at this time, preferring bricks and mortar casino poker. My buy/ins have increased from £25 tourneys to regular £100 tourneys. I’ve also played GPS (£440) and GUKPT (£550) in the past, self funded.
I was the BCPC B team captain when we won one of the early BCPC team events.
I don’t play much on-line. I’ve cashed out of partypoker once for £1k, any other winnings have been “re-invested…”.
I’ve played in Vegas a couple of times (including Millionaire Maker this year) and Atantic City (think a poorer relation of Blackpool for those who have never been).
I’ve been an occasional player at DTD when I lived in Nottingham, and at The Vic when I lived in Uxbridge.
My largest UK cash was £4K (at a charity tournament at DTD where I met devil fish and felted Simon “Aces” Trumper).
