I have been playing poker since 2005. My first ever game was a local home game and I won it. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew that I really enjoyed it. I started to study the game and when I felt confident enough, I ventured into a local casino and played in a ladies tournament which I went on to win. The following week there was another ladies tournament at another local casino and I went on to win this tournament as well. From that moment I was hooked. I continued to play locally for many years and continued to learn as much as I could. In 2014, I decided to play in the English Amateur Poker Tournament in Luton held by APAT. I quickly established that it was a really nice group of people that played poker at a good standard. I was fortunate enough to go on and win this tournament, securing my biggest ever cash and winning my first ever gold medal. Following this win, I became a regular at APAT tournaments around the UK. In 2016, I was selected to be the captain of the England team at the World Amateur Poker Championships. This was a huge honour. I selected my team and we went on to finish in second place, securing silver medals for us all. In 2017, I won a satellite tournament for £5 and won entry into the APAT online North America Poker Championships. I went on to win this tournament and this led to me winning my second gold medal with APAT. As part of my prize, I won a seat into a GUKPT tournament at London. Not bad for a £5 investment!! I made day two of the GUKPT but just missed out on the cash. In 2018, I attended the APAT World Championships of Poker and made it to three final tables. I finished 5th in the Champion of Champions Tournament and 3rd in the Deepstack Tournament, securing a bronze medal. I love to learn as much as I can about the game and continue to study as much as I can. Outside of poker, I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping fit.
