Over the weekend, Hertfordshire Coconuts stepped into resorts world casino in Birmingham to compete in APAT’s annual counties event. Made up of blue blood members Danny Strange, Tom Clark and myself Lisa Greer. We were also honoured to welcome on the team, one of Blue Blood’s newest members’, Ben Greer.
Day 1 was incredible for team coconuts. We banked points early in day 1 with Lisa picking up the win in the first STT and wins for Tom and Ben and a 2nd for Lisa. Danny also managed to bring home the win in game 3.
We secured a place in day 2 after two rounds. This was a significant improvement on last year when it was touch and go for qualifying! We finished the day on 93 points and in second place on the leader board!
Unfortunately, we couldn’t manage a win in day 2. Our last remaining seat could only manage 4th which was no good as we had to win a table in order to carry a stack through.
The weekend was a great opportunity to catch up with so many fellow Blue Blood members, in a fun environment! I would definitely recommend the competition to anyone! An opportunity to play so many games, with so many like minded people is one that should not be missed.
We are now super excited for the next team event!!! Come on the East Herts Blue Bloods!!!
